Mehfil Events hosted Anarkali Bazaar on October 29th, 2011 in Rockville, MD. The event showcased collections by some top local & international designers. Well-known brand names such as Karma, Junaid Jamshed, and Threads and Motifs were available for sale at the event. In addition to this, Anarkali Bazaar also hosted businesses offering unique services such as wedding stationary and gourmet cupcakes.
Despite the unusual weather for the month of October (a wintry mix of rain/snow), Anarkali Bazaar drew a crowd of over 300 people. The fresh, halal philly cheese steak subs and warm chai was a big hit. The Mehfil Events Team was conscious to speak with each individual vendor on their experience. Physical feedback forms as well as online response sheets were available for vendors and attendees. There was an overwhelmingly positive response to the event, which the Mehfil Team is very thankful for. We are working to improve and organize similar events in the near future. This event allowed us to network with local Pakistani-owned businesses, many of which were interested in working with us in the future.
